North of Leitchfield was a bad place to be yesterday...that said officially a tornado touched down up there in that storm.

It was close. lietchfield is only 4 or 5 miles due south on 259 from robs house.
Hay RichyD you know how far everliegh boat ramp is for the high way and far the water is from there,, Well now it is only feet from going over the road as of yesterday it may be over it today.
Rough is at A record high level right now..
One Rough River official was quoted at saying the lake has the potential to completely fill to capacity and run over the TOP of the dam, according to him this has never even been considered before. It was close. lietchfield is only 4 or 5 miles due south on 259 from robs house.

Boys it will be weeks before we really understand how Epic this weather system really has been..............
I'm headed down there to take some pics and do some video of it. I just talk to rob he was going to fish the spill way and they came down there and run him out , There going to open it up he said.. He also said the lake was close down.
Checking the chart it has over 40,000 CFS of water fowing into the lake right now and we are suposed to get 2 or more inches of rain today. This is bad and should put it well above the red line not that it is not right now.

We have a place up there... wife just went to check on it. She said water is beginning to enter the spillway... coming from McDaniels toward St. Park, water is on one side of the bridge but, not the other. It's slowly creeping in... 14 WFIE reports the Dam is closed but, wife said water was still coming out. It will be interesting to see what the Corps reports tomorrow AM when they update the lake levels.
The corps 3 day forecast calls for the levels to reach 527.9, 531.6, & 533.5 respectively. Top of the dam is 554. Flood Spillway at 524. That's some serious inflow to have the spillway & the dam outflow at max, but still having the water rising for 3 days!
I was told they would not let any water out and I didn't see any when i was there but who knows.
Here is a link to all the rough river pics I up loaded including 2 shots of the spillway 2 hours apart.
