Can't help ya, but just where is this cedar creek? Lexington area?
Coombro
1st: Who do you know at the Dam that will turn the water off for you just so you can spend a few days fishing? Just kidding!!
2d: Cedar Creek is South of Lexington and East of Stanford about 5 to 8 miles off of Hwy 150 towards the big city of Crab Orchard.
May be if you make plan's on coming the boat traffic wont be as bad and every thing will be just about right . Just please let me know so I can fish that day.

I cant give you a report but i can tell you I like it alot. During the summer I fish it very often and usually catch good fish. I would try a senko style worm on the flats...maybe even some topwater, they were on topwater pretty good in this pond i fished saturday. Hope it helps
Don't really know, but I was all geared up to fish the high fast cfs waters. Now I have to back track and fish the shallows. I do prefer the flow 15,000cfs and down. If the Nolin river doesn't keep me home tomorrow we'll be down Thurs. probably gonna come up over road. Staying at Kendal some where in the # 30's campsites. Boone made a trip down there today and only about a 3 mile stretch from the dam isn't mud. May clear up? Come on down plenty of cold ones. Mite be wall to wall boats though.Coombro

Don't go to Cedar - it's the new "Dead Sea" - not a fish for miles - water will be running over the dam - make chocolate milk look clear..... stay away!!!!
OK - just kidding - should be OK - doesn't rise near as much or get near as muddy as other lakes... warning - this is a public forum so your will likely have plenty of company on the lake.... likely one of the few lakes even fishable... heard that Cave Run is closed and KY and Barkley closed till Monday... good luck and post a report...
Thanks dean, we'll let ya know how we did.
Ill be there Thur, Fri Sat, 17ft Xpress dark Grey, 85 hp Yamaha, stop and say hello

Just wanted to clarify that Cave Run is not or will not be closed to boat travel according to corps of engineers. Guy did say that they are only comfortable holding another 2-3 feet.
Well I made it back from the creek. I would just like to say that ignorance is bliss. I had no idea that the storms that rolled through us last night killed 288+ in Alabama and also caused major damage when it went through Lincoln Co. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them.
Well the little dinks we were catching last year got bigger. Had a great time till this boat pulled in right in front of me, I was a little irritated. People let me tell you that unless your in a tournament the 150 rule does not apply. Use common Curtesy. I didn't say anything and just left and sure glad I did we really got on them. My buddy broke off a 7+ @ the boat, the dead sea isn't so dead anymore.
We were trying to avoid the wind all day 30+ mph, but that was the key! Wind blown points and banks With reaction baits, it didn't really matter witch one.
