Holly Cow that'sa nice Muskee for Southern IN. I still have some of my dad's old muskee baits. They are bigger than some of the small bass I catch. I also still have several of his big rods and reels that he bought for muskie fishing or for shark fishing. They are huge reels with lead core line and rollers for the line guides. The rollers are at least 1/4" in diameter and made out of steel.
That is a nice muskie Justin. Last week some one caught a 46 or 48 incher out of bass lake. There is a picture of it in Spurlin's Bass and Bucks bait shop in Linton.
You need a better guide than Heath on bass lake.LOL
Yeah I know larry. Next time I'm leaving him at home and calling Donnie!
Love that area around there , a guy could spend years fishing all the pits . Bass Lake is in the " Dugger Unit " of Greene-Sullivan State Forest . I usually head up there on vacation to trout fish but with gas $4 a gal. and all this rain Im staying close to home . Got a really nice Russell Outdoors APXg2™ L5 Cyclone Waterproof Breathable Jacket , had some Gander Guide rain pants but pants dont really cut it sitting in the rain all day so today I picked up some Wohali Men's Nylon Fishing Rain Bibs on sale for $90 .
Nice fish! That's a great area - first time a buddy & I fished there we it took us an hour after we got there to decide which pit to fish . . .
Thought you was talking about Bass pit in Sugar Ridge. I was getting ready to head that way if so. Mouth fell open and I wondered when they put musky in there. Nice catch.
Nice musky. Did it survive?
