    Re: chatterbait fishing

I dont own a chatterbait, but a guy I fish with some does ues one. He retrieves it just like he was slow rolling a spinner bait or fishing a square bill crank bait around heavy cover. I have see it catch fish, but no more than a spinner bait or crank bait. Until he puts a whipping on me regurlary, I will stick with my spinner bait and square bill crank bait...but yes the chatter bait does catch fish.

Regardless of what bait people throw, they must throw it with confidence that it will catch fish. The mental aspect of fishing is very underated. I had rather throw a bait that I am confident in even if "most" people consider another bait a better option...with that being said the chatter bait does not appeal to me so I never tried them. I do know they catch fish but I prefeer my "old school" regular baits.

Great responses. Thanks. With all this muddy water around just thought it might work real well if I knew how to fish it better!

    Re: chatterbait fishing

Oh and by the way I have found a black chatterbait to be absolutely deadly at night, I use the pro model because it has a bigger blade for night fishing but with all the vibration it puts out it is deadly.
