can you run your big motor on the lake and is it worth fishing thanks
Can't find info for that lake in Fishing and Boating Guide. But Bullock, Boltz and Kincaid are all 10hp only. Of course if you have a trolling motor on then you can use that. I saw a guy who was attempting to crank his big engine on Kincaid once while I was fishing there. A CO called him to the bank. I don't know if he was given a citation or not since he had not run the engine yet. Hopefully he was just given a warning so he would not use it.
Do not take this as still true but year's ago they allowed idle speed only with bigger motors. The 10HP lakes would not allow you to fire up the big motor even to load on the trailer, it had to be in the up tilt posistion at all times.
yes you can run your big motor at idle speed only. Jolly is a county owned lake and they allow this. As for the fishing its pretty tough, lake gets a lot of pressure
You can run any size motor, no wake only, idle speed only. They will ticket you if you leave a wake. Heavily pressured with bank fishermen. Not many tx on the lake anymore. Stocked yearly with channel cats. Decent bass and crappie lake. Bluegill are small. I fish it alot.
