the stripers are short and the bait is shorter ! threw the net from 130a to daylight....28 alewives. spots and smallmouth are really hit and miss, and i havent seen a largemouth in 2 weeks?
driftwood is excellent from the surface to 2 feet deep, they are hitting props and transducers trolled on the mainlake on the windblown banks !
good luck and be safe.
ok, off to guntersville !
And I heard of bait spawning on the drift last year. So you might wanna look there..
Yeah. A guy on this board (search it) said he was killin em at night a year or two ago. the Alewives were spawning in the middle of the lake at night, using the logs to rub/beat against. Said he just threw at the logs.
Fished Sat and Sun night for stripes and eyes. Caught 25 on topwater...3 walleyes, rest were stripes, but only 4 keepers. Had to go to the very backs of creeks and find water without trash. Was tough to find, but bait and fish were there. Just be careful running around in the dark. I would go back right now if I didn't have to keep showing up for work!

Good job.. Man, when they said these fish are using much more of the lake than originally thought, they were making an understatement..
Fished last weekend on the bugwood flats and caught a alot of fish, but only three keepers. Trolling shad and shiners at a depth of 15 to 30 feet.
