It is best to know the Quadgrangle name first, for instance, for Barren River, use the Lucas quadrangle to see the main portion of the lake. To find it, click on the Kentucky, then click the link View the entire list of USGS Kentucky Digital Raster Graphic Maps, then find the respective quadrangle... I also helps to have a quadrangle map hanging in your office like myself, lol.
