take the carb apart and clean out the jets and all fuel and air holes with carb cleaner

I just bought an older boat, 1992 ebbtide, with a 100 hp Evinrude, I have taken it out 2 times for short trips and it seems to starve for fuel at top end, this boat was stored over the winter and I believe the carb has some residue from the storage, does anyone have any suggestions how to clear this up? thanks in advance,
Tony

about the only way, carb cleaner sometimes sprayed thru the throat in moderation if its not to bad.
that still isnt gonna get the jets clean, if thats what it is...
If your loosing it at top end i'd suggest that you've got a fuel hose problem.
The new gas formulations seem to be attacking the older fuel hoses. If yours is the original hose, I'd replace it.
