And I totally get what you're saying about unions.........the thing about them though is that I really don't blame the folks IN unions too much. What really chaps my ass is that being in a union and being TOLD by the union and whoever that you're going to be taken care of for the rest of your life doesn't change the fact that you SHOULD try to save some of your own hard earned money for a rainy day.

I know 10 craploads of folks that never saved a single RED CENT from their earnings. BIG boats, places at the lakes, fishing pontoons, personal watercraft, you name it......THEN when they get laid off or whatever they struggle and whine about not having a pot to piss in....but they sure do have a lot of nice toys. Most everyone I know who had or HAS a good union job are like that have never saved any money......I don't know if that is because they were told they would have a pension for LIFE or what, but I do know a lot of those folks are hurting.

This is one of those cases of keeping up with the neighbors. I don't CARE what boat or car they have. Mine are paid off, and my house is so close, I can taste it.
