Heading to rough for some striper fishing

I'm going to take my boat but we will probably stay close to the ramp. There is alot of people fishing the ramp and it gets crowded real quick. I may run back up in the creek a little bit to see if there starting to jump yet..
I have to ask if any one would know if rattle traps do any good tomarrow or should I just stay with night crawlers and livers?
I do have a fish finder on my boat it is a humminbird 596c HD SI.

Go get em buddy...id be there with ya, but im at work this weekend. Im planning on hitting those hybrids hard this next week....let us know how u do...good luck!

I didn't do good at all . We only caught one little crappie. There dropping the lake like as fast as they can and it has one heck of a tow to it so if anyone goes there or any other lake be careful and wear you'r vest.
The water temps were 52 in the creek i was in and 62 at axtel.
