Heading down to CL Thur. to fish for Stripers. I know the lake is not in good shape but it's the only time I have since I live in WV. Plan on fishing the nite bite. Staying at at Indian Hills and planning on putting in at Alligator II or the Old Jamestown Rd. Ramp in Caney Creek. Can anyone give me any advice besides not to go, LOL.![]()

The fish are actually biting very well. The problem, at least on my section of the lake, is getting to them. The lake is 45 ft higher than it was a few weeks ago and covers another 20,000 acres. The driftwood that comes along with that kind of raise is mind boggleing. If there's a little breeze for a few hours, it's not a problem. If not, problem. I've been finding plenty of fish at the mid-creek areas, but several have also moved out to the main lake. Be extra careful running the boat at night. Good luck, Phil
Thanks, JoeB, well said.
Good Fishing to All,
