Fall Creek

I went fishing yesterday at Fall Creek, fished near the point of Old Fall Creek, did not have any luck, but I did see several large fish near the surface, could not tell what they were, I believe they may have been smallies, they were brown, spotted and the tip of their tail was dark, I know they were not gar or carp...either way they looked to be about 26'' long. Would love to have hooked one of them...

Was they just swirling or suning? Chasing shad?

I believe they were just sunning, there were a few signs of shad on the top, but these were just swimming around...I am fairly sure they were smallies...
