Heading to Guist creek in a few days anyone been fishing there
Was there today. Water temp 71. Water near the dam had a nice color as did most of the water till you get to the bridge. Once you get farther up the creek, it gets pretty muddy. I went all the way up past where the 2 creeks come together and it was stagnant with a pretty good film of crap on top.
We caught 4 small bass(8-10 inches), 2 bluegill and 1 crappie. The creel survey guy came by and said that no one that he had talked to had much luck. He also said that he saw a couple of big bass on the nest on the main lake side of the lake. All I saw on the nest was about 500,000 carp. They were everywhere.
Will be fishing the USA Bassin on Sunday and still have no clue where to start
Went to Lake Shelby today with almost the same results---maybe a few more fish, but no size. Weather was great--decent temps, overcast most of the day and water color decent---but fishing was bad---not sure why.?
Have been going to Lake Shelby due to everywhere else being flooded and have had great time. Last time there caught 4.5lbs full of eggs. Released back right away and caught about 30 more bass all about 14-17 inches.
So you can put a boat on Guist Creek? I was hoping to go to Taylorsville on Thursday but understand that will not happen. So my next option is Guist.
Any news on Guist; can you put a boat in there?
