I think I'm gonna tow to Russell Springs, pull in the Kmart lot, and park with the boat stern facing the main road. Then cast 5 dollar bills on bottom rigs into the McDonalds parking lot, and see how many Fish Fillets I catch.

I'd rather lose a dozen fives, then one prop.

I fished Pumpkin Creek yesterday morning before the storms blew through. The lower half was gin clear and the upper half was slightly stained. From the state launch ramp to the state dock you could see 20 feet down. I saw a lot of bedding large mouth and smallies. Didn't notice a whole lot of trash to be honest, fishing was fairly good, I managed 3 Largemouths between 13 and 17, a bunch of little smallies, Lg mouths and kentuckys and a nice 4 pound Smallmouth, all on a shaky head and wacky worm. I didn't venture out on to the main lake because I didn't want to be to far from the launch and a storm blow in on me. So I am not sure the conditions out there. If you don't mind getting back in the creeks and you want to fish Cumberland, then pumpkin is definitely an option. Good luck.

Was there Thur/Fri/Sat. nites. Put in at Alligator II and ran Wolf Creek to the mouth. Never seen the lake in that bad of shape. Ran into two massive debris feilds. One in Wolf Creek, one at the mouth. I'm talking hugh trees and stumps. Never ran up on plane the whole time I wasa there. Found very little shad. What shad we found would come up for 15 to 20 min. and then were gone. Most of the shad were not on the banks. Tried Slivers, Red Finns, Gizz 4 and nothing worked. My partner caught one short striper and it was 23".

There my be very little debris on ride out of Wolf Creek but the ride back to dock there would be a massive debris feild or the other way around. Heard no blow ups in three nights. Thur nite had a buddy try to cross at the mouth of Wolf Creek over toward Caney Creek with his trolling motor only and turned around and came back due to the massive amount of deris. If you go be very carefull and goog fishing to you.

The smallmouths are on fire .... Green pumpkin jigs on the points and sides of the points . Also about half was back in the creeks and black shell banks about 15-20 feet down. Large mouths are in the backs of the creeks top water and some fish on the bed but few and far between...

It's a BIG, LONG lake. Are you reporting results for the East, Middle or West end? Thanks.
