I believe the site had a crash years ago and most members were given that date as a join date by default. Was the internet even available in 1969?![]()

May not be fishing related yet it shouldn't be a political debate. Been noticing a majority of the "join dates" are 1969. Whats up with that? Been wondering and wanting to ask so I figured what the hey?

And in case you really want to know, it is a default date set by Unix databases when they crash. Known as the epoch date of the Unix operating system, Dec 31 1969 23:59:59 is set as default day before the epoch date of Jan 1, 1970, the start of UTC time.
