This the reply I received from the CO concerning the fish kill at John Hay. "The fish kill on John Hay has been attributed to the fish being stressed from spawning and water temps warming. Our biologists advised that this makes them more susceptible to a fungus that is normally present in the water and the fungus is what is killing the fish. It is not believed to be caused by any chemicals due to the fact that that it is limited to certain species of fish. Also the lake has not been treated since last fall with any chemicals."
