Hit the water at 10 am. Ramped in at Lone Valley, State Park ramp. Ramp is useable, but shallow. Saw several pontoons that could not git it done. Bass boats and aluminum boats had no troubles ramping in. The ramp used to be an L shaped afai, not its a stright ramp in from the parking lot. Caution, parking is limited for trucks and trailers, if you parking in the grass, you might get stuck. I did in my van when I tried to pull the trailer out to ramp the boat out. Two fine gents assisted me with a tow to get the van off the grass. To those gents, thanks again! I offerer to pay for their effort and like true anglers they declined.
Lake has very little logs and debris, and is a stained green color. We ran wide open worry free all day. Shad are up and schooling. Bluegilling banks was pretty fast and furious, with occassional 12-15 inch bass hitting night crawlers under bobbers.
Emarald Isle Ramp is open, and so is their kitchen. Great lunch there for the wife and I inside 15 bucks.
After the rains, Green is good to go at 2 ramps. Sevral other ramps we saw including the one near the dam. The big marina down from Love Valley, and the one up the lake from Emerald Isle are under water and not usable.
Good day over all, and if you are out there guys, thanks for the town, I owqe you one/. +
