Rough River

Is anyone catching any bass at Rough right now? Fished 2 days straigt and the bass were non-cooperative. If it wasn't for the hybrids, the trip would have been a bust.

I fished Rough yesterday, and the bass were un cooperative as well. Fished from Laurel Branch to Cave Creek and it was a tough bite.

I think the dropping water has them spooked.

Fished there today and had 5 fish in a tournament that weighed 12.63 and came in third. Fishing wasn't exactly great---we caught one keeper KY Bass early and then went for about 3 hours before we had that first good keeper. Found one little area and it was a very small area that had good keepers. Caught 4 good ones including one 4 lber and that was it. One hour and it was done! Fished several more areas and no fish.
Very tough.

The R & W Nitri/Tracker tournament had three 11 lb. plus bags and at least one 10 lb bag. We had 16 boats and I think every boat had at least two fish. The fishing was not great, but they are starting to bite.
