River is coming up a little. Catfish must be up in the creeks, because they are not around in the main river channel. If you like catching Hybrid striped bass...they are stacked at the dams. Bank fish the rocks and sandy banks out of the main current, at Markland or Mcalpine. The hybrids are staging to spawn. To muddy for grubs, try nitecrawlers on a carolina rig 2-3 oz. Good luck!

Your absolutly right about them coming into creek channels. I was at green river last weekend, and it was moving swift, so i fished the channel of the river and creek, and thats where i caught them.

They may not actually spawn, but they still go thru the motions!

There is also research supporting that some hybrids have very limited success spawning so go figure.

Never assume...I thought that they were fat with row, guess not. Nothing at Mcalpine last night except a few drum and small cats. Lots of current, i'm headed back to Markland.
