Went to Patoka Saturday. All ramps open, lake starting to get back to normal again. Still pulling water like crazy. Had a bunch of bites on main lake weed lines, had one keeper. Bass were chasing shad halfway back in creeks, couldn't get 'em to bite. Saw a couple huge fish way back in the creeks, very spooky, wouldn't bite anything.
Went to Green River today, Lone Valley open but what a mess. KBF had a tourney out of there and the ramp is covered up and over the turn around. Launch or retreive one boat at a time, and it is hard to get on a trailer. You almost have to back the truck in halfway to get loaded. A bunch of people ran back to the ramp when it looked like rain and 75% of us got stuck in the storm watching people trying to load and mostly not being able to without some drama. I got mine loaded but at first had the eye on my boat over the bow roller. Had to hammer in reverse to get it back off. Fishing was ok, but mostly dinks. They are pulling water hard and the fish were sitting in 30 feet of water, holding onto small stumps or brush piles. Caught most of 'em out of 30 foot of water off bluff banks. Water way up. Went so far back in one creek that it felt like I was in the woods. I don't know what it took to win the tourney.

How do you tell if they are bass, carp, or catfish? Or tree trunks just passing through the edge of your radar cone?
I was also wondering what it took to win the KBF on Green this weekend...I was out there at the end of last week and catching them pretty good....talked to a few of the KBF guys and they seemed to be catching them as well....The way the fish have been out there I'm sure it was an absolute slugfest
These were bass. The water was crystal clear up in 2 feet of water. They were literally 18 inches from my boat. At least one was around 6-8 pounds. They were kinda roaming around. There were some carp, but that is not what I saw.
I'm headed down to Green the weekend after the holiday but having trouble finding water temps online, can someone help me out. I'm expecting that the lake will be pretty close to summer pool at that point.
It's still 8.5' high as of today

Fish are there to be caught if you find them...they're getting the water out of the bushes and the fish will follow...Last weekend we were absolutely killing them but went out one day this week and it seemed to have slowed just a little...Still catching a ton of fish but the size seems to have dropped off a little
Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to getting out on the water. It will be a much needed break from the grind.
