Welome to the board and thank you for your service. Don't forget about the big O ,its close and might not be a tremendous bass fishery but if you like the thrill of catching big fish you can't go wrong with all the different spiecies. I love my big cats but also enjoyed fishing out in CA. for salmon where the American and the Sacrimento rivers meet, not to mention the trout that live in some of the ditches and the huge bass that I got into out in some farm ponds when I was there. Oh the memory's, oh well welcome again and good luck,Chuck
I was a member for two years, when I didn't have boat here in Louisville. I think they've made some improvements since I've been out there, but it was very nice back then even before the improvements.
I liked it - can pretty well walk around the majority of the lake. There's a playground for the kids, lots of open grass areas for them to play as well. I would think for a guy that wanted to fish, and let the kids play on their own while doing so, it would be perfect.
I wanted to get in on the weekly trap shoots, but my schedule never allowed it back then with school and studying. Looked like a lot of fun!
I think it's a bargain really, and there's some really good bass in that lake!
