I know you're joking,but he wasn't on the road with other "top notch race drivers." All it would take is some gal on a cell phone or grandma pulling out of her driveway and then we have a vehicular homicide case. This case deserves some serious consequences.

I am pretty sure Don was not defending him by saying "being a top notch race car driver helps". Don is saying that is the reason he is not thrown under the jail. He is not saying he is ok with his antics because he is a race car driver but saying he will get off with a tap on the wrist because of his status in NASCAR

If he was nice he may not have gone to jail. He would have gotten a ticket for sure. With that said I hate to give speeding tickets but you do what you have to do. By the way I hate Nascar
