Willgreen Lake info?

I have only fished this lake 2 times, about 3 years ago. I hear it is a really good lake and has some big bass to offer. Any info would be appreciated. Not looking to take your honey hole but some help please.

Wish I had more to tell you but I only fished it once and that was last summer. Lots of grass. I did not have much luck but then I also had my sister and her friend in my little boat too and trying to keep them happy with their style of fishing.

Not typically known as a bass lake. I would say more of a bluegill lake. I love going there for some good panfish!

Throw a deep little N texas shad in brush piles, chatterbait around grass this time of year and a bandit 300 craw colored around the rocks. I have had numerous 30+ bass days on this lake. It is hard to find anything over 2lbs but I did see the 9 1/4 weighed in there a few years back during a fall tourney. They are there.

Thanks for the replies and to Shawn for the specifics. I also heard of a 7# being caught last weekend. Goodd luck to all who get a chance to wet a line this weekend and be safe out there. Big holiday will be alot of people on the water.

I am going to hit it maybe Sunday night for bass and take the wife bluegill fishing there Tuesday. I will give you a report.
