Rough river was on fire the last 2 days!!!! Yesterday caught 5 keepers that weighed about 18 1/2 lbs.... pulled up to a secondary point yesterday morning and bang, caught 5lber, fished awhile longer and nothing, ran around cound a couple more 2 1/2 and 3 lbers.... went back out that evening to same point i caught the 5 lber and caught another 4 lber...few more casts later i hooked a GIANT on it. I did not have a net so i went to lip and she jumped one last time.....this bass was every bit of 7 to 8 lbs, biggest bass that ive hooked......had i had a net i would have gotten her...maybe next time!!!! all fish were release. the bite was early and late with the better bite being near dark, all caught on buzzbaits and rattletraps.....
