I bought a new Jackson Coosa Fishing Kayak yesterday at CanoeKy. Love it!! The river was in perfect condition. We got there and started fishing a 1pm, and they were still biting pretty good all day. Go early and you'll tear it up. My back hurt so much in my old kayak after a few hours, I started looking for something more comfortable for a mid 40's guy. This kayak is the best. Bigger, 11ft, and not as nimble as the 9.5 foot perception, but the seat and storage more than make up for it. They cost 1000, but you get $99 store credit. A bit more than kayaks at Bass pro, but the seat is worth the extra $300.00 D's has beginner kayaks, but if you want to fish and your over 30, go to Bass Pro. I'm taking it to Florida soon, can't wait to get into some Redfish and Kings..They have much better selection!!! Generic pic of a Coosa attached. PS, selling my 1986 Basstracker if anyone is interested. $3500. ( To pay for my Kayak. I use it mostly anymore. I installed in the last 3 years a new fishfinder with gps, trolling motor, stero to jam on, two seats, and fixed some of the carpet. Runs good. Electric could use some work. I think there is a loose ground. Lights work when they want to. So does bilge pumps and live well pump. Easy fixes, just never use these things so haven't really tried fixing. When I bought it, I had all three carbs rebuilt, and motor has run good ever since. (70hp mercury) Boat will do 27 knots) Anyway, pm me and I'll send pictures.
