Lastly, I will say that this whole discussion is why I favor charter schools.
Ding, ding....we have a winner. Teaching kids about religion is the responsibility of parents and the church they choose to attend....not (public) schools or government. I think if you knew more about charter schools you would change your mind......result after result has proven that they are not nearly as effective as public schools. I know that high stakes standardized testing is not the answer to everything, but here in Indiana charter schools make up the bottom 25 percent in ISTEP scores. Out of the bottom 30 percent, 25 percent of those are the charter schools....and they get to pick and choose who attends their schools!
