Will, just thought I would share what has been happening on the trying bench lately... Picked up some new supplies at Sportsmens Wherehouse in Lexingtion a couple of weeks ago and was planning on tying up some smallmouth streamers and a few soft hackle trout flies. Then, Dang, Tim comes on the board with a " new fly" which apparently catches any and everything!. So, hold the horses, just had to try, emphasis on try, to tie up a few of that pattern, so as you can see, quite a few of my recent ties minick the Kreel minnow Tim shared.
But did manage to get in a blue guill pattern, my version of a black nose dace and and a few soft hackle flies, and near nough soft hackle sculpin, plus a couple of new worms in an orange pattern; even one as an "egg sucking worm", hey I saw a pattern with an egg sucking leach, so thought what the hey!

Thanks, as a fly fisherman/trier, I'm still evolving, but i'm having one hell of a time learning and bringing a few fish to hand in the interim.![]()
PS. wish I had retired 75 years ago!!
Gary, those all look great. You need some business cards and stationary and you will be tying professionally before long!
I got the fly in the mail yesterday and it looks great. I might be going to Otter Creek on Thursday and if I do it will definitely be tied on. Thanks for sending it to me.
