    To all,
I use cornmeal batter called Fishin Delite which I think is made in Cadiz, KY. Used it on fish frys for catfish, crappie and redear. My wife gave some to a church member who was egg and batter frying crappie. The people loved it and now when we travel to western Ky we have to pick up several bags. Started my neighbor on it for his first fish (10 years ago) fry of Big O Crappie he caught during the winter in Flordia. He now buys a case and takes it with him to Flordia for the winter and shares with people there.

Put it in a bag, add filets, shake and hit the hot oil!
You can find them on the web. They make an original and a hot and spicy.
    Good Eats and good luck!

    Re: best breading recipe

I used Fishing Delite years ago....don't really remember why I stopped using it. For the past several years we have been using the stuff from Sam's....big ol' gallon jug of batter....lasts a pretty good while. It's pretty good but tends to fall apart on/after the first bite. I'd like for it to hold together better.

We use it all the time. If it is a little salty try the low salt kind or mix half low salt and half of another..
