A few weeks ago at a local store here in Sheeptown, I was in line and there was a guy looking at a certain outdoor magazine that is for sale there. He is asking the clerk some questions, the clerk points me out and tells the guy who I am. This led to a half hour discussion that ranged from high water levels, fishing at night, live and cut bait for catfish and then moved to KDFWR, black helicopters, rattlesnakes, mt. Lions and coyotes. The conversation steered back to fishing. The guy asked me some question about an obscure bait that I had never heard of. He then states "Well, I figure you knew all about it, you are the fishing expert" to which I replied "Sir, I am just a writer!"
I can only guess what went through his mind afterward!
