So.........is ANYONE going to talk about the recent OIL FIND??

Their might be idle refineries in the USA however our refinery capacity is very very tight. I am guessing the idle refineries are probably shut down because they were not kept modern and can not get permits to update them.

The refinery here has had to reschedule shut down for maintance becuase a refinery went off line somewhere. with that said the problem with refinery capacity is each refinery has to make several different formulated gasoline for differnet cities. This refinery has to make six different grades of gas to comply with EPA standards.

They shut down 4 oil refinerys in nortern indiana years ago.They shut down 2 major chemical plants that relied on hydrocarbons, they all went to La and Tx. BUT they still continue to ship enourmous amounts of natural gas into that same area, using some of the old crude pipe lines.Oil sands in the dakotas and canada have a lot of oil that can be used, but the power to do i9t, is not there.The energy companys have us by the gonads, because they bought congress. Its the "golden rule" you got the gold make the rule.
