embry, why not try banging the weed infested banks with hollow frogs... nothing beats that as a slump buster.

ive fished out on a local lake over the last 5 outings Ive caught 3,7,2,15,6 bass. i would say im only getting 60% of my strikes on top of that. So even if your missing bass(Or they are to small, like i keep telling myself) you are still getting the visual of bass strike which is a moral boost.

I consider myself an average fisherman and my best day out there all year was 6 or 7 last year.

Im throwing a Koppers jr green/yellow frog, 7'2 MH X-Fast, 7:1 Baitcaster on 50lb stealth spiderwire.

That doesn't surprise me. We got on the lake at 6 AM and quit a little after noon. We were on the main lake.

    Re: patoka

I'm heading there this weekend coming up to do some practicing for the B.F.L. there on the 25th. That's nice to hear that the weeds are up. I was planning on spending most of the day fishing in them if they was.

If any of you guys do any good in the next week or so and don't mind, hook me up with some info

Guys the grass is up everywhere and the bass are there. Fished a small tourny this weekend and a guy had 5 that was 19 pounds. There was several other limits and alot of solid keepers. Good luck, looks like Patoka is back and strong!

I'd like to be workin a frog in the grass. I can't get up that way to give it a shot. I usually have pretty good luck with my Scum Frogs and a good grass mat.
