A new fly part 2 (heartbroken sadness)

It is with a heavy heart that I report the following. After much careful research and tying by Boone, the new fly he sent me last week endured a painful and unexpected demise. Upon receivng said fly, I put in my vice in order to shoot some photos before I fished it. I left it there and hadn't got around to shooting photos. I decided to put it to the test on Thursday on a 10 hour, four mile death march...err I mean wading trip with a friend. When I went to get the fly out of my vice early yesterday morning, I found that little hands had evidently tugged and pulled on the fly and the hook was actually facing the head of the fly. I tried bending it back straight but the shank of the hook snapped on me. There was no saving it. It was a young fly, that never truly got to experience its purpose for being and for that I am deeply saddened. Now each trip astream I vow to pause and reflect on what could have been.

    I am sorry Boone!
