    Smile Trout in KY

Fished the trammel fork on Wednesday, just a day after it was stocked, the place was packed. I was fishing with flies and spinners on a fly rod. The majority of people there were slaying them with powerbaits. I'm certainly no fan of fishing powerbait, but I could only catch one trout with my arsenal of flies. Personally I think fishing with powerbait from the bridge turns it into bluegill fishing. Is there an effective way to catch trout with a fly/flyrod without using artificial rubber bait.

And another thing, Jennings creek in the middle of Bowling Green is stocked as plentifully and as periodically as the Trammel Fork, Unfortunately the access point on Glen Lily Road has steep banks and too many trees. Is there any other access point. Has any one fished it? Please help,

I fly fished TC Tues evening and caught so many I stopped counting....bh hares ears and bh pheasant tails. You need to meet me up there one day and ill show you how i do it. As for jennings creek...its close to my house and i have killed them there as well. You are right, it is harder to access and harder to cast and fish....but there are a lot of trout there...as long as the creek is low and clear. The bridge where they stock it is the only public access point.

Try fishing bead head hare's ear or bead head pheasant tail nymphs under and indicator or on a dropper under a dry fly. I would stick between a size 12 and 16.

Also, try a Black Wooly Bugger. It always works for me when I fish Trammel.
