I was fishing all day at the same location at Floyd's Fork. I didn't see any gar or cats, only smallies and a few largemouth.
yea i thought it was strange they were there also i sure wasnt expecting to see any gar but that hole wasnt very deep theres gotta be deeper better holess for bank fishing
how big where the bass you saw and what did you catch them on. i had something else break my line i was using cut bait on a bobber it must have been another gar probly them sharp teeth
I was using a rebel tiny craw for a bit and then was using my fly rood the rest of the day. I caught a few finger length largrmouth as we as a few in the 12-15 inch range, and the smallies were all about 12 inches, but provide a lot of fun on the fly rod. I have caught a few 4 pound plus smallies there before.
What kind of lures do you use to catch 4LBers. I fish the Fork all the time and have had no such luck. I dont even think Ive caught a 2LBer out of there. I must be using the wrong baits or something.I was using a rebel tiny craw for a bit and then was using my fly rood the rest of the day.
