I went once and didnt get a NIBBLE catfishing. I used chicken liver, and was fishing practicly all morning around the lake. Although i said i would NEVER go back, i didnt fish the dam, so give it a shot. I also didnt fish the evening, good luck and let me know how you do! I did see people hauling in some bass though.
i watched someone put 4 blues in there one day over 10# each said he caught at tville.
i went once iw was very overfished i didnt catch a thing the people that say its good usually are the people that have never experienced good fishing but plese post your results
I caught a couple 12 inch bass, 8-10 small bluegill, a small snapping turtle, and a decent size channel cat. Had some more bites catfishing as well but missed them. Fished from 2 pm to 9 pm. Chicken livers, bluegill, vanilla chicken and strawberry chicken were the baits of choice.
As far as I'm concerned, Long Run is a barren wasteland. Out of the many times I've been there, I've only caught 1 or 2 respectable fish. If you are fishing off Shelbyville Rd., you may as well drive down to Miles Park and try to fish one of the lakes there or fish at the canoe ramp to Floyd's Fork, or fish Floyd's Fork where it passes under Aiken Rd.
