What is the difference between the 3/8 Advantage and the Baby Advantage jigs? Thanks
The baby advantage jigs have a smaller profile and a finer cut skirt. They are more of a finesse jig.
I do no the Advantage D&L's have the line tie built into the head vs. sticking out the front of the jig on the regular D&L'S .Not sure on Advantage vs. Baby Advantage but I would suspect it has to do with size.
What jigs are best for Cumberland and Dale Hollow? We'll be fishing them next week. Also, what brand and colors do you use? I noticed you're from Somerset, and, I live almost to London. TKU, Garry![]()
Oops, Softshell, and Green Pumpkin/Brown are the main colors for me on Cumberland and Dale.
Ive tried a lot of jigs and the d&l baby advantage and advantage are the best!!!! For dale I like cumberland craw, oops, pbj, and wild thang. Good luck
Don't want you guys to give up any secrets, but, what trailer and colors do you recommend with the jigs? I've been using Sweet Beaver on a D&L jig. Thanks for the help guys.
My favorite is the netbait paca and baby paca. I also like a twin tail grub type trailer or zoom speed craw. Never tried a beaver bait. Ill have to try that sometime! GOod luck, they are great jigs!
Paca chunks, baby paca craw, Yamamoto twin tail grubs, and beavers all are great options. I use them all. Use the smallie beaver on the baby advantage jigs instead of the 4.2 beaver. I tend to stick with green pumpkin, watermelon, dirty sanchez, and mossy mud mostly. I do use the magic craw swirl and the penetration colors when using darker colors. But I tend to stick with the green colors most of the time.
I'm using the baby advantage and smallie beaver (magic craw swirl) most of the time. In your opinion, who makes the best jig? Thanks for the info.
In my opinion its d&l without any close second
Same here. D&L jigs are hard to beat. I've been using Lester's jigs for about 15 years now.
