Hit the Pond

I hit a pond yesterday morning that normally will produce 3 to 5 decent keepers and that's about it. I must have hit it right I lost count around 15 and probably had around 19 or 20 for the morning of 2 hours and about 10 minutes. Best five would have went about 15lbs or so. Big fish weighed 3lb 10oz, but I had most fish over 2lb upwards to 3. Buzzbait, then they were slamming a swimbait and a few on plastic.

I know it's not the big lake but I needed a fix and they were flat on. I was slinging that swimbait a mile and when it would hit you could see the wake on some of them coming to get it...

Me and my youngest Natalie went over to my neighbors pond Sat. night and flat wore them out to Mark. Funny thing I gave her a floating Rapala and she threw it out there and just let it sit...About the time I was going to tell her to crank it alittle BAM,fish on and daddy was down 1 to nothin LOL. No better feelin to see a kid excited like that for sure.

That's what I used to think. Now Basspro won't let me near their aquarium.
