I started off about 4 years ago with an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur series. I had never used a baitcaster before this and it was basically idiot proof. Its not as low profile as some of my newer ones but it is still my baby and you cant backlash her if you try. I think I paid somewhere around $50.00 and its still my go to reel.
