I don't really have a problem with her benefiting from farm subsidy money (although as staunch as you are George, you should) because that is what the program is for.

My two favorite things in this world that people do when they are backed into a corner:
1.) Blame the media, despite the fact that what was reported was TRUE!

2.) Direct attention away from the subject at hand by saying "he/she is not as bad as this person!"

No wonder this country is in the shape it is and only getting worse. Sometimes I think we deserve a lot of what happens to us.
I don't SEE where she took the subsidy.

I've looked at the financial disclosure forms..........Here:

    http://www.legistorm.com/pfd_office/...nn_MN/823.html

You have to give some personal information and agree to not USE this data, but from my standpoint the form clearly states POTENTIAL conflicts of interest.

Her husband inherited the farm in 2010 after the father DIED. The disclosures talk about income from 1995 to 2008.......If she inherited the FAMILY FARM in 2010..........HOW the HELL is she responsible for subsidies taken by the FAMILY WHEN she didn't control ****??????

Her TAX records are public record.....so how about we DIG there and look at her exemptions........

I guess the LA times didn't want to do that because it proves that she did nothing and CLAIMED NO INCOME from the farm.

The article is misleading..........and I think she should sue the HELL out of them.

Come on Tim, it took me about 10 minutes to find the info and prove for MYSELF that this is bunk.

POINT 2......I never said she was a good or bad person. I SAID the Media is painting her as a bad person......

    Later,

    Geo

Thanks for the link. But now: according to here own financial discloure, she reports receiving between $100,001 to $250,000 from "Bachmann Farm Family LP" for the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 . The site does't give a report for calandar year 2010.

I think you looked at the form wrong............There is an ASSET Value and another field for Income.

The ASSET value was 100,000 - 250,000, the income was something like under 15k.

Still I'd like to see the TAX forms.......These disclosures prove nothing if you ask me.........

You should look at some of the other SERIOUS stuff on that particular site.

But hey, I guess I'm gonna get jumped for trying to change the subject...

I stand corrected , I was looking under the asset column. She listed it under Royalities as "Farm Income" for each of the years, 2006 - 2009. I was not able to find a $ value. I too would like to see her tax returns, but that will never happen.
