    nolin night fishing/technique

going to try some night fishing at nolin this weekend. what areas do you target once the sun goes down? still the main lake points and ledges or do you work your way back into the creeks?

Most guys will say main lake, and I mostly agree...however, I have a lot of luck at night in several different creeks on the lake fishing similar structure. There's really not a big difference when it comes right down to it, the creek is just a miniature version of the main lake. When fishing the creeks though, definitley need to focus on the sweet spots around drops/points and not waste time on banks in between. With that said, if they are on a slow rolled spinnerbait bite you can't beat some of the gravel flats near those same drops/ledges.

    Just my $0.02

Fish the bluff wall close to a point and channel, like the one leaving Wax and just past the bridge on your left - good luck and let us know how you do.

Well I will definitely be doing some night fishing this weekend, if i can manage to stay up late enough and avoid all the 4th of Julyers.

Man, my advice is to get up early and fish the mornings this weekend....I've tried the night fishing on the fourth a few times and it can be quite a dangerous rodeo out there. It's not just the 4th either, but the entire weekend becasue there are multiple nights of fireworks and many folks that never go out night try to get out there to see them. Add in a bunch of alcohol and it ranges from pretty amusing to downright scary. Good luck and Godspeed if you do go.
