This may not be the appropriate place to post this but I am trying to help coordinate an employee appreciation outing for some people and I am looking for a daily rental of a house boat on a lake relatively close to Lexington (Cumerland, Green River Lake, Cave Run, etc). We have done this in years past but for some reason this year everybody wants to rent it for the full week and we are running out of options. I was hoping someone on here might be able to help with some connections to get this done.
Basically looking for a one day rental (during the week) of a house boat in the 72 - 80' range for one day during the week of August 8th or August 22nd. We would prefer a Friday if possible.
If anybody can help me out with any connections then please drop me a PM. We have already contacted the docks without any luck. I didn't think this would be a problem (never been in the past) but so far - I guess business is too good to give it up for one day during the week.
Thanks for your help.

That's very common during the peak season. A lot of houseboat rentals are booked a year in advance for a week at a time.
You might be able to work something out with a local boat dealer. They may have a boat owner with their boat listed that would jump all over such a deal to get a few extra dollars. The dealer should also be able to provide a licensed captain.
You got to have some kinda license to operate a house boat? That's very common during the peak season. A lot of houseboat rentals are booked a year in advance for a week at a time.

Not if you rent it. Now if you're paying someone to take you out, then yes.
If I had my boat listed for sale, and someone offered $1,000 to rent it for the day, I would gladly take it, but I would want a licensed captain driving it.
