Hello all,

Anybody been fishing the area around Bowling Green recently?

I went out and tired Barren at Hobson Grove on Thursday last week, saw a lot of small fish popping but only caught a tiny Crappie.

Went to Drakes at Phil Moore Saturday, and it was up and rollin'. I didn't catch anything but it was my first time going after Smallies. ( I normally do Strippers and Salt Water) I tried Half my tackle-box: 2in Bwn/ Gld Roostertail, 3in olive green tube Texas rigged and Carolina. 4in Pumpkin Swim, 2 in swimming shad, 1/8oz Chartreuse buck tail.
I was casting into either slower pools, cover near fast water, and right behind any and all cover I saw.

Lastly Tried Jennings at the Glen Lilly, it was muddy and fast as well but I did manage to catch one decent rainbow just upstream. I had to cheat and use power bait, I don't have a fly-rod.
