I agree....fishing has been no different this year than any other. High water hasn't changed much, except in creeks and rivers. lakes......a little maybe but for the most part high water brings the fish shallower and makes them easier for most people to catch. That being said, did you catch those fish on a big lake or in a pond??? Ponds are ALMOST ALWAYS easier to catch fish in!

65 acre lake.
Nice.....went to Monroe again this morning from sunup til about noon and caught a few small bass....ky. spots on topwater actually.....but no keepers!
i dont care what anybody says, fishing is terrible this year. ive zeroed more times this year already than i have in the past 3 combined.
LMAO with you Embrey......thats the attitude I have with Monroe. The problem is I feel much more accomplished when I catch fish on big water....compared to pond fishing....so I keep banging my head on Monroe. Don't get me wrong, I have a milk run of farm ponds, creeks, and golf course ponds that I can and do catch fish on this year.....but to me its just not as rewarding.....therapuetic (sp?) and a blast though. What types of places are you fishing most? Still on Patoka alot?
yeah, but not so much now. ive waited long enough for it to get good. it never did. im takin a break from blowing cash on that place. i know a pond i can cast across and catch a limit of good ones in about a half hour, but thats too easyLMAO with you Embrey......thats the attitude I have with Monroe. I should have phrased it better....
Fishing trip count has been down...not the fish count.
I wonder whatever happened to the guy that caught 7,000 bluegill in 3 days earlier this year. fishing probably sucked...
