Licking River

Anybody ever fish the licking river at Blue Licks State Park? Is the best fishing upstream or downstream? Looking for smallmouth or largemouth. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm 26 miles downstream from there,you can find fish near laydowns and below riffles scattered everywhere.I also find fish near creek mouths as well.
Last time I was at Bluelicks there looked like plenty of laydowns around to me,river is still murky here,but improving.
