    BRL

Just got back yesterday. I didn't do much good the first week with all the storms coming through. But the last three days the fish turned on. Bass were hitting spinner baits up near the woods. Crappie were slow and hitting minnows close to the trees and finally the hybrids were in the jumps 3 nights in a row. I caught a few in the 4-5 pound range but a guy in the campsite next to me caught a beautiful 14 pounder the night before last. When I was trailering my boat I saw the remnants of some hybrids at the ramp that would probably go 6-7 pounds each. Water temp 81 degrees water is getting alot clearer. I saw six bass following a school of minnows when I got on my boat yesterday to leave.

I caught them on a silver Kastmaster one evening and a little topwater from wally world about 3 1/2 inches that had a cupped lip and some tinsel on the back hook. I ripped the Kastmaster through them and just gave the topwater a few twitches let it rest and reel it some and twitch again.
