Thumbs up What a 4th of July on NRL!!!

Well, I'm trying to get all of the NRL fix I can get before the big move....and honestly, its making me reconsider moving! LOL! I absolutely SLAYED them today! To the point were my shoulder was hurting by the end of the day, lol! Nice ones too...

Put in at Dam @ 0600...clarity still good, water temps still around 84...headed to mouth of Briar..no jumps happening, but managed a few nice ones on a 3" berkley shad swimbait. Thunderstorm rolled through for about 15 minutes, then cleared back out. It was on then! Jumps happened all over the mouth for hours, I must have caughten 30 or so, with some NICE ones in the mix, several 3 lbers and one over 4. All on 3" smoking shad flukes. It slowed down there, so I headed back down towards the dam and stopped in the creek there on the left (don't know the name of creek?)...boat traffic by then was INSANE! Big boats blowing up and down the lake..... Didn't seem to bother the fish, actually evertime a boat blew by it pushed the shad around and would cause another jump! I wore them out there...or rather, they wore me out! My shoulder was burning by the end of the day! Left at 1500, couldn't take anymore, lol! Nice fish this time....mostly keepers or just under. FUN, FUN STUFF!!! I'll miss it...

Although I didnt get in on the action, my buddies pulled out 25 in just under 2 hours. Sounds like a great time. I know they were just catching em on white rooster tails.

That is only the second time I have stopped in that creek...needless to say, it will be the first place I stop in next time I go!

Luckily we are moving to an area in UT with some great bass fishing, so I won't have to give up my love for the green! Take care.
