Taylorsville tailwaters

Anyone fish behind the dam at taylorsville? Any suggestions or tips?

I seen a guy there last year that stood at the top of the spillway and was fishing with shad and caught a 15 pd. Stripe. I used to catch some nice fish there but the last 5 times i went was a bust. I think fishing the tailwaters at night is when i have had my best luck
