Took a friend of mine fishing @ NRL today after months of trying to convince him to go (he's no fisherman). He hadn't been fishing since he was like 10...so I was excited to finally get him out on the water. Needless to say...IT WAS HOTTTT!!! We put in @ the dam around 4pm, headed up toward State Park, hardly any jumps seen. We stopped in some coves where I knew they had been last week, and we caught several casting flukes to standing timber in 20-30ft of water. Very, and I mean very, few jumps happening....scattered, small jumps....nothing like last week! We headed up to mouth of Briar and found some more fish...water temps 92, water clear. My buddy caught around 12, which just made my day! I probably caught around 30...nothing big at all...biggest around 2.5 lbs or so. Just couldn't find any big ones, or any jumps for that reason. Wonder if the moon phase has them feeding to much at night, shutting of the afternoon jumps? Don't know...fun day none the less!

Oh yeah...had a guy come in around 5mph between us and the bank we were fishing...so close that I could reach my pole out and hit his boat! He asked us if we were doing any good as he plowed past us...I said, "WE WERE!" unbelievable!
