I know that fish was caught in early June, but I still think that the weekend before memorial day in May is the best time to go. Of course it depends on the weather. But really anytime in May should be good fishing up to probably mid July when they move out deeper. I have heard though that by sept. they are in huge schools but I have yet to check that out. If I were going back for numbers and size I would pick the best weather in May and go. It's only 6 hours from Lexington and thats pulling a boat. I mean to have one of the countries best fisheries only 6 hours way.....I'm there!!Originally Posted by DJD
