Do you remember what year you caught smallie? "Might" have it in some of my digital photos.
I think it was around 2001,but I honestly don't remember for sure.We had a great time regardless, felt terrible about locking up the prop. We'll try it again sometime, might leave her at home though.Besides if I catch a 20 pound striper, she catches a 25lber.lol

    Re: Boneheaded Things You've Done

I took a trip with my cousin to visit his daughter and son-in-law in Cajun country of Louisiana back in the 70's,His son-in-law took us fishing in Rockefeller reserve which was a National Refuge at that time.
Anybody that's every been in that country knows how canals all look the same and you can easily get turned around in the brine water marsh. While trying to find our way out of a big pond we ran aground on a hump of ground between canals,a Louisiana Fish and Wildlife officer came by just as we did it and pulled us off.He never checked our license, but as soon as we were free and started out the Son-In-Law ran us aground again, this time the CO pulled us out and asked if we thought we could stay on the water because he had better things to do than pull us out every 5 minutes.lol
The same trip,my cousin,an old coal miner from the Virginia/Kentucky border decided he wanted to sit on a piece of bank around a marsh pond we were fishing,no sooner than he threw his lines in and sat down,Alligator heads started popping up and easing his way to see what he was throwing in.we watched him with grins as they kept getting closer, final he broke and said"I believe I was doing better in the boat fellers, come get me"LMAO.
